	NO TO NEW GRAMMARS, 22nd September 2016: Dave Brinson of the East Sussex NUT and local Tory MP Caroline Ansell appear to be in agreement about not wanting Theresa May's grammar schools in Eastbourne! All of the teachers' unions are opposing the current Government green paper, which proposes a return to selection at 11, but does not have one single word about Special Educational Needs.  All in it together? 	END FARCE OF PRIVATISED PASSENGER TRANSPORT, 20th September 2016: Passenger Transport Service drivers- members of GMB- protest at the surgery of the local GP who chairs the local clinical commissioning group. 	MARK STEEL AT LAUNCH OF EASTBOURNE PEOPLE'S ASSEMBLY, 6th July 2015: Comedian and writer Mark Steel speaks at a packed inaugural meeting of the Eastbourne People's Assembly at the Our Lady of Ransom church hall. Eastbourne Trades Council is proudly affiliated.
	SAVE THE DGH!,  28th July 2014- Trades Council secretary Dave Brinson speaks at the demo to save Eastbourne DGH called by the GMB.  The well-supported march was joined by members of all parties, and Stephen Lloyd MP spoke and praised the work of the GMB union.
